Until recently I’ve never ever felt lost in this world. Perhaps as a little girl when I couldn’t find my mom in the department store. But I mean in a different way, the ‘grown-up’ kind off way.
You guys were all there with me this summer when I graduated for my bachelor of Communications degree. I expected that this would be my ticket to freedom. Never in a million year I would have imagined that it turned out to be the opposite of ‘freedom’. As a recent graduate people expect a lot from you. Because every one of your age has a full-time job, is getting married or having children. So why the hell are you leaving behind? By now you start to question & compare yourself with others. For weeks and weeks I felt quite miserable about this silly thing. Because why should I compare myself with others. Why do we human beings do crazy things like this? What’s so wrong about being happy and figuring out what we want to do with our lives before we start to look at others. Do we really need to follow the same road to Rome?
For weeks I worried a lot about it but suddenly it hit me. You know what; it’s oke to be lost, to not follow the same path that others follow. Because eventually being lost, will lead you to new paths. It puts things in perceptions and most importantly you will get to know the real you. It may feel like a long-lost journey but by time you will get there.
